LHH is looking for a full-time Accounts Payable/Receivable Specialist to join our client growing company in Seattle, WA. This position will be a 6-month contract that is fully onsite at the client location.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented AR/AP Specialist to manage and maintain the financial transactions of our organization. The ideal candidate will oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate record-keeping, timely payments, and collections.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable (AR):

  • Generate and issue accurate invoices to customers.

  • Monitor incoming payments and ensure timely collection.

  • Reconcile accounts receivable transactions and resolve discrepancies.

  • Maintain accurate records of customer accounts, including payment history and outstanding balances.

  • Communicate with clients to follow up on overdue payments and manage collections.

Accounts Payable (AP):

  • Review, verify, and process invoices for payment.

  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve billing discrepancies.

  • Manage payment schedules to ensure timely payments to vendors and suppliers.

  • Prepare and process electronic transfers, checks, and other payment methods.

  • Maintain accurate vendor records, including contact information and payment terms.

General Duties:

  • Perform monthly account reconciliations for AR/AP and assist in closing processes.

  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records in compliance with company policies.

  • Assist with audits by providing requested documentation and reports.

  • Collaborate with other departments to address financial inquiries and resolve issues.

  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in accounts receivable and/or accounts payable roles.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.

Compensation: $30-$35/hour DOE
