Benefits Specialist
Location: Seattle, Washington, United States (Sodo Neighborhood)

Parking Provided: Yes
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Process and reconcile monthly benefit plan invoices in accordance with plan contracts and CBAs.

  • Coordinate with payroll and timekeeping systems to ensure accurate reporting.

  • Review enrollment data, including LOA and COBRA participants, for billing accuracy.

  • Validate premium rates and calculations using internal/external reports and ADP systems.

  • Set up deductions and accruals for various benefit coverages.

  • Reconcile monthly premium billings using ADP Vantage.

  • Liaise with trusts and carriers to resolve payment issues and adjustments.

  • Ensure timely invoice processing and reporting to union health and welfare trusts.

  • Support audits and collaborate with Payroll Accountants on reconciliation items.

  • Maintain and improve documentation and billing procedures.

  • Address eligibility issues and maintain billing tracking spreadsheets.

  • Support leave administration and follow up on required documentation.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree preferred.

  • 3–5 years of experience in benefits administration, with a focus on reconciliation.

  • Advanced Excel skills required.

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook; Access experience is a plus.

  • Spanish language skills preferred but not required.

  • Experience with ADP and Kronos systems preferred.

  • Understanding of pretax deductions and union environments.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.

  • Must maintain confidentiality and integrity with sensitive data.



Pay Details: $32.00 to $38.00 per hour
