Benefits Specialist
Location: Seattle, Washington, United States (Sodo Neighborhood)
Parking Provided: Yes
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Process and reconcile monthly benefit plan invoices in accordance with plan contracts and CBAs.
Coordinate with payroll and timekeeping systems to ensure accurate reporting.
Review enrollment data, including LOA and COBRA participants, for billing accuracy.
Validate premium rates and calculations using internal/external reports and ADP systems.
Set up deductions and accruals for various benefit coverages.
Reconcile monthly premium billings using ADP Vantage.
Liaise with trusts and carriers to resolve payment issues and adjustments.
Ensure timely invoice processing and reporting to union health and welfare trusts.
Support audits and collaborate with Payroll Accountants on reconciliation items.
Maintain and improve documentation and billing procedures.
Address eligibility issues and maintain billing tracking spreadsheets.
Support leave administration and follow up on required documentation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Associate degree preferred.
3–5 years of experience in benefits administration, with a focus on reconciliation.
Advanced Excel skills required.
Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook; Access experience is a plus.
Spanish language skills preferred but not required.
Experience with ADP and Kronos systems preferred.
Understanding of pretax deductions and union environments.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
Must maintain confidentiality and integrity with sensitive data.
Pay Details: $32.00 to $38.00 per hour
