Billing Specialist

Contract/Temp to Hire

$27.00 - $29.00 per Hour


LHH is working with a non-profit organization to identify a temporary to hire Billing Specialist professional. This individual will be handling the billing, grant funding management, and account reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of previous accounting experience and a passion for non-profits would be preferred. This position offers a hybrid work schedule after training in the south Seattle, WA office. Free parking is provided.


Responsibilities:



  • Generate and distribute invoices to clients, donors, and funding sources accurately and in a timely manner.


  • Review billing data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with organizational policies and funding requirements.


  • Maintain organized billing records and documentation for auditing and reporting purposes.


  • Collaborate with program managers and finance team members to ensure accurate billing of services rendered and expenses incurred.


  • Work closely with the finance team to reconcile billing discrepancies and resolve payment issues.


  • Additional duties as needed.


Qualifications:



  • At least three years of previous accounting experience


  • Knowledge of accounting ERP systems such as SAP or Sage would be preferred.


  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple tasks.


  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.


  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


  • Commitment to the mission and values of the nonprofit sector, with a passion for making a positive impact on communities and society.
