Job Title: Human Resources Generalist I or II
Location: Seattle, WA 98108
Schedule: Full-Time (40hrs/wk), Onsite
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $24-32/hr DOE
Responsibilities:
Maintains employee files and records in both electronic and paper form, ensuring accuracy in HR system entries and personnel files.
Understands union contract and company policies, ensuring daily tasks align with compliance.
Assists in developing HR goals and processes.
Manages benefits administration, including enrollment, reporting changes, and handling invoices for health, life insurance, and 401k plans.
Administers COBRA for terminated employees.
Oversees recruitment efforts.
Processes wage changes, ensuring union contract compliance.
Provides HR support on leaves, compensation, and employee relations, escalating issues when necessary.
Educates management on policies and employee relations compliance.
Manages HR processes, including leave administration, EEO-1 reporting, and unemployment.
Requirements:
Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and labor laws.
Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and cultural competence.
Skilled in problem-solving, critical thinking, and team collaboration with a results-driven approach.
High ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality.
Proficient in HRIS systems, MS Office, and SharePoint; Workday experience preferred.
PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certifications preferred.
At least 5 years of proven experience in Human Resources.
