Job Description: Legal Assistant

Location: Seattle, WA
Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 (depending on experience)
Schedule: Hybrid (must be located in or within commuting distance of Seattle, WA)


LHH is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our client’s legal team in Seattle, WA. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3+ years of experience in legal support and be proficient in local, state, and federal filing procedures specific to Washington State. This is a hybrid position, offering a blend of remote and in-office work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and preparing legal documents.

  • Handle local, state, and federal filings for Washington State, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant regulations.

  • Conduct legal research and gather pertinent information to assist attorneys in case preparation.

  • Maintain and organize electronic and paper files, ensuring documents are easily accessible and up-to-date.

  • Draft and proofread correspondence, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.

  • Coordinate with clients, court officials, and other parties as necessary.

  • Assist with trial preparation, including assembling exhibits, organizing evidence, and preparing witness lists.

  • Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the legal team.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant

  • Strong litigation skills

  • Strong understanding of local, state, and federal filing procedures for Washington State.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with a keen attention to detail.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal research software.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality.

  • Must be located in or within commuting distance of Seattle, WA.
