Job Title: Legal Assistant
Location: Seattle, Washington
Schedule: Hybrid
Salary: $75,000-$85,000 DOE
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in a law firm setting and excel at managing both legal and administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment. A proactive and organized approach is essential. Experience in Corporate Tax and/or Intellectual Property transactions is highly preferred.


Responsibilities:
  • Managing calendars, travel arrangements, client billing, and document management
  • Coordinating meetings, events, and project logistics with internal and external stakeholders
  • Preparing, editing, and proofreading legal documents and correspondence
  • Maintaining physical and electronic files, ensuring organization and compliance
  • Supporting business development initiatives and internal teams as needed
  • Handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion
  • Providing backup support for administrative functions and assisting with overflow tasks
  • Performing other duties to support the team and practice area, with flexibility for occasional overtime


Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational and document management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines efficiently
  • Proficiency in administrative tasks such as typing, proofreading, and maintaining high standards in grammar, spelling, and basic math
  • Familiarity with Corporate Tax and Intellectual Property transactions is highly valued, and litigation experience is a plus
  • A proactive approach to handling tasks, anticipating needs, and taking initiative in projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients, attorneys, and team members
  • A positive attitude, openness to feedback, and a growth-oriented mindset
  • Strong knowledge of legal processes and tasks, along with the ability to exercise good judgment in a fast-paced environment
