Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist – Legal Billing
Location: On-site in Seattle, WA
Salary Range: $55,000 – $62,000
LHH is working with a reputable firm in Seattle to help them find an Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist for their team. This role reports to the Controller and works closely with various internal departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full accounts payable cycle, from invoice processing to issuing 1099s
Verify and process payment requests for accuracy and proper authorization
Enter all invoices for payment and generate checks on a daily basis
Process and reconcile corporate credit card charges
Maintain accounts payable/vendor filing systems
Handle annual unclaimed property reporting and resolve outstanding AP checks
Receive and post client payments (wires, ACHs, credit cards, checks)
Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and adjust accounts as needed
Maintain AR records and documentation
Conduct collections with professional follow-up to ensure timely payments
Prepare reports on collections activity and performance
Assist with monthly billing and perform conflict checks
Complete other tasks and projects as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum 2+ years of AP/AR experience in a professional office setting
Legal industry experience strongly preferred
High school diploma required; college coursework or degree in accounting a plus
Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Quick learner with the ability to master new software systems
Interview Process:
One video interview with a member of the team
One onsite interview with the Billing Manager and Controller
