Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist – Legal Billing

Location: On-site in Seattle, WA

Salary Range: $55,000 – $62,000

LHH is working with a reputable firm in Seattle to help them find an Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable Specialist for their team. This role reports to the Controller and works closely with various internal departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full accounts payable cycle, from invoice processing to issuing 1099s

  • Verify and process payment requests for accuracy and proper authorization

  • Enter all invoices for payment and generate checks on a daily basis

  • Process and reconcile corporate credit card charges

  • Maintain accounts payable/vendor filing systems

  • Handle annual unclaimed property reporting and resolve outstanding AP checks

  • Receive and post client payments (wires, ACHs, credit cards, checks)

  • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies and adjust accounts as needed

  • Maintain AR records and documentation

  • Conduct collections with professional follow-up to ensure timely payments

  • Prepare reports on collections activity and performance

  • Assist with monthly billing and perform conflict checks

  • Complete other tasks and projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2+ years of AP/AR experience in a professional office setting

  • Legal industry experience strongly preferred

  • High school diploma required; college coursework or degree in accounting a plus

  • Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

  • Quick learner with the ability to master new software systems

Interview Process:

  • One video interview with a member of the team

  • One onsite interview with the Billing Manager and Controller
