Job Title: Legal Billing Specialist
Location: Seattle, Washington
Schedule: Hybrid - 3 days in-office/2 days remote
Salary: $75,000-$89,000
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Description:
LHH Recruitment Solutions is actively searching for a Legal Billing Specialist to join our client's team in Seattle, Washington. The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within a law firm, with the ability to audit, review, edit, and prepare complex invoices. This role is perfect for someone who can work effectively both independently and as part of a team, demonstrates excellent communication skills, and has a proactive approach to their work.


Responsibilities:
  • Handle daily billing tasks for attorneys and clients, including editing proformas and generating invoices
  • Ensure accurate accounting setups, verify rates, and manage complex billing adjustments
  • Conduct audits and updates on unbilled time and expenses, maintain accurate records, and reconcile invoices
  • Submit and manage both electronic and non-electronic invoices, addressing any discrepancies promptly
  • Oversee timekeeper approvals, maintain client-specific databases, and monitor e-billing statuses
  • Assist with internal and external billing audits, training of billing staff, and data presentation improvements
  • Prepare client-specific reports and support Billing Manager in various billing operations


Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of legal billing and e-billing experience, with familiarity using third-party e-billing vendors
  • Must be self-directed, highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented with strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Capable of handling large work volumes with high accuracy and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be self-directed, highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented with strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with 3E, HUB e-billing software, Elite, and various e-billing sites is beneficial
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and advanced Excel skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred, or equivalent experience in legal and e-billing
