Job Title: Litigation Legal Assistant
Location: Seattle, Washington
Schedule: Hybrid; 37.5 work week
Salary: $70,000-$95,000
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Description:
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a legal assistant with at least 4 years of litigation experience to join our client's team in Seattle, Washington. This role is ideal for someone interested in cases and issues related to public financing, appellate, and civil litigation.


Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, format, and ensure the consistency and accuracy of correspondence, documents, and presentations, especially for time-sensitive, high-profile cases
  • Proofread, format, and finalize detailed legal documents and correspondences; also prepare and finalize basic documents as needed
  • File pleadings in state and federal courts, including trial courts, courts of appeals, and Supreme Courts
  • Establish and manage both paper and electronic filing systems, sorting and filing correspondence, records, and other documents
  • Maintain and organize general office operations, including file management, photocopying, calendar upkeep, preparing expense reports, processing invoices, arranging travel, and coordinating meetings, calls, and conferences
  • Initiate setup for new clients and matters within the billing system
  • Conduct general research and provide support activities to assist attorneys
  • Calculate and manage court deadlines
  • Support the firm's monthly billing process by tracking attorney time records and managing billing


Qualifications:
  • At least 4+ years of litigation experience as a legal assistant in a law firm setting
  • Proficient with Washington state and federal court rules and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task effectively
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Self-motivated with the capability to meet deadlines under pressure
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook, with experience in Excel and PowerPoint
