Part-Time Payroll Specialist – Renton, WA

LHH is collaborating with a respected organization in Renton to find a skilled Payroll Specialist to join their team on a part-time basis. This fully onsite role offers a dynamic and supportive work environment, ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative setting.

Schedule:

  • 3 days per week (Monday–Wednesday)

  • 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • 20–25 hours/week

  • 6-month temporary assignment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for approximately 200 employees, including full-time, part-time, contract, and temporary staff

  • Maintain accurate payroll records and prepare tax forms (W-2, 1099)

  • Address employee questions related to payroll, benefits, and deductions

  • Ensure data integrity and security within payroll systems

  • Generate payroll-related journal entries and reports

  • Identify and recommend process improvements

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field

  • Minimum 2 years of payroll processing experience

  • Proficiency with payroll platforms such as ADP, Paychex, or QuickBooks

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Comfortable handling confidential information

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills



Pay Details: $26.00 to $30.00 per hour
