If you have a strong background in ambulatory/outpatient settings and are committed to supporting cancer care initiatives, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!


Key Responsibilities:


Clinic Operations: Ensure patient appointments and daily clinic operations run smoothly, with the ability to make necessary adjustments based on patient conditions.


Patient Coordination: Collaborate with departments like transportation and interpreter services to ensure comprehensive patient care.


Scheduling: Manage and adjust clinic schedules to accommodate patient needs, ensuring optimal appointment availability.


Patient Interaction: Serve as the welcoming voice for patients, reminding them of appointments, and following up after visits to ensure satisfaction.


Check charts and medical records with critical thinking, managing patient records, and overseeing all necessary paperwork.


Utilize SMC and SCI computer systems efficiently, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new applications as they evolve.


Actively support and demonstrate commitment to the Cancer Institute’s goals and programs, contributing to the overall mission of providing exceptional cancer care.


Assist patients with insurance verification and billing inquiries, ensuring a stress-free experience.


Experience:


At least 3 years of experience as an Intake Coordinator, with strong expertise in EPIC and a passion for clinic intake operations, particularly in ambulatory or outpatient settings.


Experience in oncology or cancer care is a great plus.


Proficiency in scheduling, coordinating with other departments, critically reviewing charts and medical records, and supporting cancer care initiatives.
