LHH is partnering with a global firm to identify a temporary Payroll Manager for their team. This individual will be responsible for handling escalated payroll issues, reviewing international payroll processes, and supporting the payroll team. The ideal candidate will have at least ten years of payroll processing experience and at least three years of managerial experience. Since the team doesn’t have the bandwidth to spend a lot of time training, knowledge of Workday and international payroll processing is required. This role is remote and will be temporary for two to three months.
Responsibilities:
Ensure payroll practices comply with global, federal, state, and local regulations, including tax reporting, wage and hour laws, and other statutory requirements.
Generate and analyze payroll reports, providing insights and ensuring 100% accuracy.
Oversee the payroll processing for US and international employees and assist with any questions.
Handle escalated payroll issues from internal employees.
Train and mentor payroll staff when needed, promoting continuous learning and professional growth.
Additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or a related field.
At least 10 years of payroll processing experience, preferably with at least three of those in a managerial position.
Knowledge of international payroll processing and rules/regulations of different countries.
Proficient in Workday and Microsoft products.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism.
Employment Details:
Fully remote.
Temporary for two to three months.
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM PST.
Pay Details: $55.00 to $60.00 per hour
