LHH is looking for a full-time Payroll Specialist to join our client-growing company in Seattle, WA. This position will be a 6-month contract that is fully onsite at the client location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll for employees accurately and on time.

  • Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.

  • Maintain accurate payroll records and prepare necessary reports.

  • Handle employee inquiries regarding payroll issues.

  • Coordinate with HR and accounting departments to ensure accurate employee data.

  • Prepare and distribute paychecks and direct deposit notifications.

  • Manage payroll tax reporting and payments.

  • Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues promptly.

  • Assist in year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation and distribution.

  • Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in payroll processing or related role.

  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

  • Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Certification in Payroll (e.g., CPP) preferred.

Compensation: $30-$40/hour DOE
