LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently hiring a Payroll Specialist for our client in Seattle, WA. This temporary opportunity is fully onsite.
The Payroll Specialist will process bi-weekly payroll, retain payroll data and ensure data accuracy, handle employee inquiries, post journal entries, and stay updated with changes in payroll and tax compliance laws. This role would be a good fit for an applicant with excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of payroll compliance and regulations.
Responsibilities:
· Process bi-weekly payroll
· Verify accuracy of payroll data and coordinate data retention
· Respond to general inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and time and attendance and respond timely
· Monitor all aspects of colleague payroll hours worked, including PTO, sick pay and other paid-time off balances
· Post related journal entries
· Stay updated with changes in payroll and tax compliance laws
· Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· 2+ years of payroll experience
· Excellent attention to detail
· Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines
· Strong communication skills
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
· Understanding of payroll compliance, regulations, and tax principles
· Excellent time management and organizational skills
