LHH is partnering with a construction firm that is seeking a dedicated Payroll Specialist to join their team for a temporary position lasting twelve months. In this role, you will be responsible for processing weekly payroll for approximately 500 employees across multiple states. The ideal candidate will have experience handling high-volume, multi-state payroll processing and possess a keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks. This position offers a hybrid schedule after the initial training period.



Responsibilities:


  • Process weekly payroll for employees in various states

  • Stay informed on federal and state tax regulations

  • Address employee inquiries promptly

  • Review contracts to verify payroll accuracy

  • Audit payroll discrepancies and conduct research to resolve issues

  • Participate in additional projects and tasks as needed


Required Skills:


  • Minimum of three years of payroll processing experience

  • Familiarity with payroll platforms such as UKG or ADP is preferred

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment

  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with internal customers


Employment Type:


  • Temporary for one year

  • Hybrid schedule after training

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM


Pay Details: $33.00 to $36.00 per hour
