LHH is looking for a full-time Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client growing company in Seattle, WA. This position will be a 6-month contract that is fully onsite at the client location.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain accurate property financial records, including general ledger entries, financial statements, and reconciliations.
Manage all aspects of property accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and lease accounting.
Conduct month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for assigned properties.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and variance reports for properties.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Assist in the preparation of tax filings and compliance reports related to property management.
Coordinate with property managers and other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
Monitor and reconcile bank accounts and other property-related accounts.
Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports to property owners and stakeholders.
Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Maintain accurate and organized property accounting records and documentation.
Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager or Controller.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
Proven experience as a Property Accountant or in a similar role within the real estate industry.
Strong understanding of property accounting principles, practices, and standards.
Proficiency in accounting software and property management systems (e.g., Yardi, MRI, or similar).
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
High degree of confidentiality and professional ethics.
Compensation: $35-$40/hour DOE
