Job Title: Property Accountant
Compensation: $35-$50 an hour DOE
Location: Downtown Seattle, WA (Fully Onsite)
Job Type: Contract (Indefinite), Full Time

We are working with a local property firm hiring a Property Accountant to join our client’s team temporarily. In this role, you'll assist in maintaining financial records and preparing statements for our client’s property portfolio.



Requirements:

  • 3+ years of accounting experience preferred in property accounting.

  • Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

  • Sage experience is a must

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines.

  • Quick learner and a team player.

  • Needs to have experience with month-end closing.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist with month-end processes and journal entries.

  • Review general ledgers and help prepare monthly financial statements.

  • Analyze income and expenses, providing variance explanations.

  • Aid in reconciling bank accounts and processing mortgages.

  • Manage tenant leases and CAM reconciliations.

  • Process invoices, support check runs, and document procedures.

  • Contribute to special projects and follow regulatory guidelines.
