LHH has partnered with a great firm in Seattle, WA who is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Real Estate Paralegal to support their attorneys in Seattle and across other firm offices. This hybrid role offers a flexible work arrangement, with a minimum of two in-office days per week based on team needs and workload.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality legal support in real estate transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Draft and prepare legal documents including deeds, bills of sale, assignments, title insurance policies, and closing binders.
Conduct due diligence investigations (e.g., municipal liens, zoning, UCC, environmental, tax, and entity qualifications).
Prepare real estate closing statements, calculate prorations, and manage trust receipts, disbursements, and wire transfers.
Coordinate execution and delivery of closing documents and assist with the full closing process.
Handle post-closing tasks such as document recording, title updates, and binder preparation.
Communicate proactively to manage workload and meet deadlines with high-quality results.
Support attorneys across multiple offices as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certificate preferred; equivalent experience considered. High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in real estate law, including drafting purchase and sale agreements, title and survey review, and managing closings.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with attorneys, clients, and staff.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel), Adobe Acrobat, and document management systems (e.g., NetDocs).
Advanced Word skills, including use of styles, track changes, and document comparison tools.
