Job Title: Revenue Cycle Reimbursement Analyst
Location: Seattle, WA
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST
Job Type: Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week
*MUST RESIDE IN WASHINGTON STATE *
Basic Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of five (5) years in charge description master (CDM) or Revenue Cycle (Required).
Education: Bachelor's degree OR four (4) years of directly related experience (Required).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and EPIC (Required).
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with CPT, HCPCS, Revenue Codes, medical terminology, and federal/state regulations.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications: Epic Certification.
Software Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft Access and database applications.
Experience: Strong background in financial data analysis and reporting.
Job Summary
The Reimbursement Analyst is responsible for preparing monthly contractual allowances, analyzing financial data, and supporting budget and forecasting processes. This role ensures compliance with federal and state regulations while maintaining accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in revenue cycle management, and a solid understanding of medical billing, coding, and reimbursement processes.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and submit monthly journal entries for Accounts Receivable and reserves.
Analyze contractual allowance percentages and financial trends, explaining significant variances.
Assist in the annual contractual budget, forecasting, and financial audit.
Ensure timely updates of contract provisions within the EPIC contract management system.
Investigate over and underpayments, working with revenue cycle and billing teams to resolve discrepancies.
Conduct interim reviews of patient accounts to evaluate impacts on month-end AR valuation.
Prepare logs and reports for Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting.
Maintain compliance with all relevant regulations and policies.
Collaborate with financial and revenue cycle teams to improve reimbursement processes.
Provide various financial analyses and recommendations as needed.
