A unique company in the real estate industry is partnering with LHH to identify a Senior Accountant who can handle majority of the tasks in their accounting department. The company is growing so this will be a good opportunity for someone who is looking to take a step up in their career and manage accounting professionals as you will get the chance to do so as the team gets built out. The idea candidate will have at least five years of progressive accounting experience and have some real estate industry knowledge. The company offers a flexible working schedule, unlimited PTO, and a beautiful office space in the south Seattle, WA area.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
- Oversee and manage the general ledger, including account reconciliations and adjustments.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulations.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Manage and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support.
- Coordinate and execute internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the accounting department.
- Handle complex accounting transactions and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Permanent position.
- Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Hybrid work schedule after training.
