LHH is partnering with a consumer services firm to identify a temporary Senior Accountant to cover a temporary leave. You will mainly be responsible for the preparation of financial statements, supporting the audit, and helping with the month end close tasks. The ideal candidate will have over five years of progressive accounting experience. This role is fully onsite in the Seattle, WA office but there is flexibility with start and end time.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of the general ledger, including journal entries, reconciliations, and the closing process.
  • Collaborate with department heads and management to develop budgets, monitor variances, and assist in forecasting future financial performance.
  • Coordinate and support external and internal audits by preparing required documentation, responding to auditor inquiries, and implementing audit recommendations.
  • Track and reconcile fixed assets, calculate and record depreciation, and support capital expenditure planning.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with demonstrated responsibility in financial reporting and analysis roles.
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, compliance requirements, and tax laws relevant to the organization’s location and industry.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ethical, trustworthy, and committed to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.


Pay Details: $48.00 to $50.00 per hour
