Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Fully Remote (Must be in OR, WA, or CA)
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract- 3 months
Salary: $46 - $51 an hour DOE

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to support our client’s finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing compliance with accounting standards, and driving financial insights. This is a contract role ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a proactive approach to process improvement and reporting accuracy.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance

  • Perform and review complex account reconciliations

  • Lead month-end and year-end closing activities

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP

  • Support internal and external audits by providing timely and accurate documentation

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting

  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes

  • Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls

Requirements:

  • CPA required

  • Masters/Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, including senior-level responsibility

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards

  • Healthcare or Non-profit industry experience required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
