LHH is looking for a full-time Staff Accountant to join our client growing company in Seattle, WA. This position will be a 6-month contract that is fully onsite at the client location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain financial records, including general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and collections.

  • Participate in budget preparation and forecasting activities.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.

  • Collaborate with other departments to gather and analyze financial data.

  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and other regulatory filings.

  • Provide support for internal and external audits.

  • Perform other accounting duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

  • CPA certification or progress towards certification preferred.

  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or related field.

  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • High level of integrity and professionalism.

Compensation: $30-$40/hour DOE
