Job Title: Temporary In-House Counsel
Location: Seattle, Washington
Pay Rate: $80-$120/hr.
Employment Type: Contract - 2 months
Job Description:
LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established financial institution seeking an experienced attorney, licensed in Washington, with a background in banking and litigation to join its in-house legal team on a full-time, temporary basis. The assignment is expected to last a minimum of two months, with the potential for extension.
Responsibilities:
Provide legal guidance and support on commercial and commercial real estate lending matters, from origination through closing and servicing
Advise internal business units across commercial lending, corporate real estate, consumer retail, and related operations
Support legal aspects of real estate components in M&A transactions
Oversee litigation matters and manage relationships with outside litigation counsel
Review vendor contracts and provide legal input across various lines of business
Respond to subpoenas, document requests, garnishments, levies, and provide counsel on temporary restraining and anti-harassment orders
Serve as the primary legal contact for bankruptcy-related matters
Assist with regulatory compliance issues related to lending and consumer business operations
Qualifications:
Juris Doctorate and active license to practice law in Washington
Minimum of five years of experience in banking law, commercial lending, and litigation
Strong understanding of commercial real estate transactions and regulatory compliance
Excellent judgment, communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
