Procurement Specialist- Kansas City, KS
LHH is partnering with a client in the Kansas City area who is seeking a Procurement Specialist. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process for 2 sites, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. Our ideal candidate would have at least 3-5+ years of procurement experience and someone who can take multiple sites forward to an integrated procurement function. Responsibilities:
Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost and efficiency.
Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide support.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and supplier information.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Previous experience within the Pharmeceutical Industry is REQUIRED
Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
