Accountant - Logistics (Solon)

LHH is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Import/Export Disbursement Coordinator to join our client’s supply chain team in Solon, OH. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating, resolving disputes, and auditing freight bills for both import and export vendors. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate and timely payments while maintaining strong relationships with our vendors. Qualifications:

• Associate degree required, Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or Business preferred
• Experience in accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and customer service
• Proficiency in SAP and strong analytical and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
• Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities
• Knowledge of transportation processes a plus!

Responsibilities:

• Exception management of import and export freight and customs clearing payment charges
• Manage ocean and dray vendor accounts, resolving disputes and exceptions in accordance with contractual terms
• Conduct root cause analysis for disputed or rejected items, implementing process improvements to streamline payments
• Provide insights on vendor billing performance and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize freight conditions on purchase orders
• Serve as a liaison between the Import and Export team, procurement, vendors, and accounts payable to resolve issues
• Reconcile accounts and handle vendor correspondence related to Statements of Account (SOAs)

Pay Details: $21.00 to $23.00 per hour
