LHH is seeking a Legal Assistant to join a well-established, collaborative law firm in Springfield, Oregon. This position focuses primarily on transactional work and some litigation, with the opportunity to grow into a broader paralegal role over time. This company is looking for someone who not only brings strong legal assistant experience but also values being a contributing member of a team. The anticipated salary for this role is between $50,000-$65,000 a year.
Responsibilities:
· Support attorneys with a focus on commercial property transactions, corporate and general business matters, and elder law
· Assist with litigation support tasks as needed
· File documents through Oregon e-filing system
· Draft and proofread legal documents with a high degree of accuracy’
· Maintain attorney calendars and ensure court deadlines are accurately docketed
· Handle client communication professionally and promptly
· Navigate state and federal court rules and procedures
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 3–5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant (preferably in the listed practice areas)
· Strong transactional legal experience (will consider candidates with litigation and/or transactional experience)
· Advanced word processing and formatting skills
· Exceptional attention to detail and proofreading abilities
· Organized, efficient, and capable of handling multiple priorities
· Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
· A positive attitude, team-focused mindset, and willingness to take initiative
· Commitment to client service, professionalism, and confidentiality
