LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Administrative Assistant in the tax industry. As the tax season approaches, we are seeking a diligent and organized Administrative Assistant to support our team during this busy period. This position offers seasonal hours, with a decrease after the tax season and potential for increased hours based on the needs of the business. Job Description: The Administrative Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office during the tax season. This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle a fast-paced work environment. The ideal candidate will be flexible with their working hours to accommodate the seasonal demands of the tax industry. Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet clients and handle incoming calls, directing them to the appropriate team members
  • Schedule and confirm appointments for clients with tax professionals
  • Prepare and organize client files and tax documents for processing
  • Assist in the preparation and mailing of tax returns and related documents
  • Maintain an organized filing system, both physical and digital
  • Perform data entry tasks, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
  • Handle general office duties such as photocopying, scanning, and mailing
  • Assist with the assembly and review of tax returns for completeness
  • Provide administrative support to the tax team, including preparing correspondence and reports
  • Ensure the office is well-stocked with supplies and maintain a clean and professional work environment
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in business administration or related field preferred
  • Previous experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferably in a tax or accounting setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Flexibility to work extended hours during peak periods, including evenings and weekends if needed
