LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking entry, mid and senior level Controller candidates in St. Louis, MO. The Controller will oversee all financial and accounting activities, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity of financial reporting, managing internal controls, and supporting strategic planning initiatives.

Job Title: Controller

Location: St. Louis, MO

• Entry-Level Controller: $80,000 - $100,000 per year

• Mid-Level Controller: $100,000 - $120,000 per year

• Senior-Level Controller: $120,000 - $150,000+ per year

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and other relevant standards.

• Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the development of annual budgets and forecasts, providing detailed financial analysis and variance reports to senior management.

• Internal Controls: Design, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.

• Audit Management: Coordinate and manage external audits, liaising with auditors and ensuring timely completion of audits with minimal issues.

• Cash Flow Management: Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed. Monitor cash balances and manage cash flow projections.

• Tax Compliance: Manage tax planning and compliance activities, working with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate tax filings.

• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support business decision-making, including profitability analysis, cost control, and performance metrics.

• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, keeping abreast of changes in financial laws and regulations that affect the company.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 5+ years of progressive experience in financial management or accounting

• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.

• Proficiency in financial software and systems

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
