LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a Manufacturing Company in a search for an experienced Controller in St. Louis, MO, to manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the manufacturing industry and a proven track record of managing financial operations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform month-end closing activities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.

• Oversee inventory cost accounting to optimize financial performance.

• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including cash flow statements.

• Handle bi-weekly payroll processing for all employees.

• Lead and participate in corporate special projects to support business objectives.

• Assist with HR duties, including health insurance, property and casualty insurance, IT packages, 401K, employee onboarding, and workers' compensation.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 7 years of accounting experience

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is preferred but not required.

• Experience using Macola software preferred

• Advanced Excel user

• Strong leadership abilities and excellent communication skills.

• Proficiency in computer skills, particularly in accounting and financial software.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Additional Skills and Interests:

• Interest in learning about customs and border patrol compliance, including tariffs.

• Willingness to oversee domestic freight operations,

• Desire to engage in customer service roles related to both domestic and international imports.
