Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operational Accounting to lead an SAP implementation project and optimize financial operations. This fully remote role will be pivotal in ensuring a smooth implementation process and maintaining ongoing operational excellence. You will work closely with IT, Finance, and cross-functional partners.
Key Responsibilities
SAP Implementation Support: Act as a key player in the SAP implementation project, collaborating with IT Finance and business stakeholders to ensure a seamless cut-over process and financial accuracy.
Finance Governance: Work with the Sr. Director to strengthen finance governance processes, including updating weekly scorecards, setting up workshops, and coordinating monthly updates across Finance functions.
Process Optimization: Evaluate and enhance AR/AP operations by establishing policies, internal controls, KPIs, and process improvements to ensure accurate and timely transaction processing.
Shared Services Setup: Collaborate with the Sr. Director to define and recommend shared services set-up, including roles, responsibilities, and clear ways of working.
Core Super User Role: Serve as the core super user for AP/AR and Trade management, acting as the primary contact for IT, business owners, and other cross-functional teams.
Documentation and Training: Document key processes, including cut-over procedures, training, and business impacts.
Ad Hoc Projects: Lead ad hoc projects such as AP supplier financing and support strategy for transaction processing efficiencies.
System Optimization: Partner with the HighRadius team to stabilize and optimize system performance.
Required Experience and Qualifications
Experience: 8+ years in accounting, with at least 3 years in a management role. Experience in SAP or similar systems is essential.
Skills: Strong financial and analytical skills, leadership ability, and a track record of driving change and strategic decisions.
Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain strong attention to detail.
Communication: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Collaboration: Proven ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization and with other functional areas.
Systems Experience: Experience with Oracle Accounting systems, High Radius, and Globe is a plus.
Analytical Skills: Ability to design financial and non-financial measurements and KPIs to enhance business performance.
Education and Certifications
Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in Strategic Planning, Business Analysis, or the food industry/CPG sector is advantageous.
Knowledge: Familiarity with US GAAP, International Accounting Standards (IAS), and Nestle Accounting Standards (NAS) is a plus.
Financial Concepts: Understanding of financial concepts such as cost accounting, cash flow, NPV, ROI, etc.
