LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an HVAC Engineer in St. Louis, MO. As an HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing the installation and maintenance of HVAC systems for a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. You will work closely with clients, architects, and other engineers to ensure that HVAC systems meet their needs, are energy-efficient, and comply with all relevant regulations.

Compensation will vary upon experience:
  • Entry Level HVAC Engineer: $70,000 to 80,000 annual
  • Mid Level HVAC Engineer: $85,000 to $95,000 annual
  • Senior Level HVAC Engineer: $100,000 to $120,000 annual

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design HVAC systems for new construction and retrofit projects, including load calculations, equipment selection, ductwork and piping layout, and control systems.
  • Develop detailed plans and specifications for HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to integrate HVAC systems into building designs.
  • Oversee the installation of HVAC systems, providing technical guidance and support to ensure proper setup and functionality.
  • Perform energy modeling and analysis to optimize system performance and efficiency.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to HVAC system performance and operation.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and documentation for clients and stakeholders.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve HVAC design and implementation.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior engineers and technical staff.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Trane TRACE, Carrier HAP).
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC principles, systems, and components.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.


Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year
