Compensation will vary upon experience:
- Entry Level HVAC Engineer: $70,000 to 80,000 annual
- Mid Level HVAC Engineer: $85,000 to $95,000 annual
- Senior Level HVAC Engineer: $100,000 to $120,000 annual
Key Responsibilities:
- Design HVAC systems for new construction and retrofit projects, including load calculations, equipment selection, ductwork and piping layout, and control systems.
- Develop detailed plans and specifications for HVAC systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to integrate HVAC systems into building designs.
- Oversee the installation of HVAC systems, providing technical guidance and support to ensure proper setup and functionality.
- Perform energy modeling and analysis to optimize system performance and efficiency.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to HVAC system performance and operation.
- Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and documentation for clients and stakeholders.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve HVAC design and implementation.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior engineers and technical staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Trane TRACE, Carrier HAP).
- Strong knowledge of HVAC principles, systems, and components.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA).
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $95,000.00 per year
