Compensation will vary upon experience:
- Entry Level: $65,000 to $75,000 annual
- Mid Level: $80,000 to $95,000 annual
- Senior Level: $100,000 to $120,000 annual
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and products using CAD software and other design tools.
- Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and analyses to evaluate the performance and safety of mechanical designs.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers, software engineers, and other team members to integrate mechanical systems into overall product designs.
- Oversee the prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical components and systems, ensuring they meet design specifications and performance requirements.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues, proposing and implementing effective solutions.
- Conduct research on new materials, technologies, and methods to improve product performance and efficiency.
- Manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
- Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing teams during the production process.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other engineering design tools.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ASME, ANSI, ISO).
Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
