Job Title: Multi-State Payroll Specialist (Union and Non-Union)
Job Type: Direct Hire/Permanent
Location: St. Louis, MO
Schedule: Monday-Friday; Flexible; Full-time in-office training period, then hybrid (2 days in office, 3 days remote).
Salary Range: $65,000 - $72,000 per year (flexible upon experience)

Key Responsibilities:
- Process full-cycle payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Handle payroll for both union and non-union employees, understanding the nuances and specific requirements of each group.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of wages, deductions, benefits, and taxes.
- Maintain and update employee payroll records, including changes in salaries, benefits, and deductions.
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve employee payroll issues promptly.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports to management and relevant authorities.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure alignment and accuracy of payroll data.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and regulations and implement necessary changes to company payroll processes.
- Assist with year-end payroll processes, including W-2 preparation and distribution.
- Support audits related to payroll and ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience, with a focus on multi-state payroll preferred
- Experience with union payroll is highly desirable
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $72,000.00 per year
