LHH is working on behalf of our client in the real estate space who is seeking a motivated Senior Staff Accountant to join their team on a contract to hire basis. This will be a hybrid in-office role in Stamford, CT.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with month end close processes
- Prepare and post various journal entries (accruals, reclassifications, depreciation, etc.)
- Perform reconciliations for 8+ bank accounts
- Analyze balance sheet accounts
- Assist with full cycle AP process
- Assist with financial statement preparation under GAAP standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master's degree/CPA a plus
- Prior Real Estate experience preferred
- Excellent MS Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups)
- Experience working with Yardi is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Compensation: $35 - 45/hr, depending on experience.
