A growing, mission-driven organization in metro Detroit is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead financial operations, job costing, and administrative functions. This is a high-impact position reporting directly to ownership, with the opportunity to shape financial strategy and support a team that makes a difference in the community every day.

As Accounting Manager, you’ll oversee all phases of job costing, financial reporting, and office administration. You’ll play a key role in KPI development, performance tracking, and financial planning, while collaborating with external partners like a CPA and fractional CFO.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage job costing, WIP accounting, and variance analysis

• Oversee payables, purchase orders, and financial controls

• Reconcile bank accounts and coordinate monthly close

• Collaborate on budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting

• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal policies

• Use QuickBooks Online, Excel, and QVinci for reporting and benchmarking

• Support collections and customer relationship management

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in construction or restoration accounting

• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)

• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive financial data

• Excellent communication and leadership skills
