Office Supervisor (Stockton, CA)

LHH is teaming up with a well-established organization in the employee benefits and insurance space in Stockton, CA in search of an Office Supervisor to support the daily operations of a union environment.

This is a unique opportunity to join a mission-driven team that plays a critical role in supporting union members. The organization offers a collaborative and respectful work environment, with a strong emphasis on empathy, professionalism, and service. The Office Supervisor will be instrumental in managing a team of claims clerks who handle incoming calls from members regarding benefits and claims.

The ideal candidate is a polished, bilingual (Spanish/English) professional with a background in healthcare, insurance, or employee relations. They are tech-savvy, empathetic, and calm under pressure—someone who listens actively, communicates clearly, and thrives in a structured, service-oriented environment. A bachelor’s degree is required, and experience with HIPAA regulations and union environments is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise a team of 7–8 union claims clerks in a high-volume, call center-like environment.

  • Ensure compliance with union protocols and collectively bargained agreements.

  • Oversee daily office operations, including claims processing and reporting.

  • Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture.

  • Serve as a liaison between staff and leadership, addressing concerns and facilitating communication.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Psychology, Human Resources, or related field (required).

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience, preferably in a unionized, healthcare, or insurance setting.

  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA laws and employee benefits.

  • Bilingual in Spanish (required).

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • High emotional intelligence, discretion, and professionalism.

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Start Date: ASAP

Location: 100% on-site in Stockton, CA

Hours: Full-time, Standard business hours

Pay Rate: $75,000–$85,000/year, depending on experience
