LHH is seeking an experienced Temporary Community Manager to join our client’s property management team in Sunnyvale, CA. This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of tax credit properties, affordable housing programs, and below market rate (BMR) leasing. You’ll be responsible for supporting full-cycle leasing operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines while fostering a positive and welcoming environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of a tax credit and affordable housing community.

• Manage the full leasing cycle — from marketing and application processing to move-in coordination and lease renewals.

• Ensure compliance with all affordable housing programs, including LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) and BMR programs.

• Conduct income certifications, recertifications, and ensure proper documentation for audits.

• Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, vendors, and local agencies.

• Collaborate with maintenance and support teams to ensure the property remains in top condition.

• Respond promptly to resident inquiries, concerns, and requests, maintaining a high standard of customer service.

• Prepare and submit reports related to occupancy, compliance, and leasing activity.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Community Manager or Leasing Professional in tax credit, affordable housing, and BMR properties.

• Strong knowledge of fair housing laws and affordable housing compliance requirements.

• Experience supporting full-cycle leasing processes in a multi-family environment.

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
