LHH is seeking an experienced Temporary Community Manager to join our client’s property management team in Sunnyvale, CA. This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of tax credit properties, affordable housing programs, and below market rate (BMR) leasing. You’ll be responsible for supporting full-cycle leasing operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines while fostering a positive and welcoming environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day operations of a tax credit and affordable housing community.
Manage the full leasing cycle — from marketing and application processing to move-in coordination and lease renewals.
Ensure compliance with all affordable housing programs, including LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) and BMR programs.
Conduct income certifications, recertifications, and ensure proper documentation for audits.
Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, vendors, and local agencies.
Collaborate with maintenance and support teams to ensure the property remains in top condition.
Respond promptly to resident inquiries, concerns, and requests, maintaining a high standard of customer service.
Prepare and submit reports related to occupancy, compliance, and leasing activity.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Community Manager or Leasing Professional in tax credit, affordable housing, and BMR properties.
Strong knowledge of fair housing laws and affordable housing compliance requirements.
Experience supporting full-cycle leasing processes in a multi-family environment.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Pay Details: $28.00 to $32.00 per hour
