Job Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Sunrise, FL
Employment Type: Contract to Hire
Work Schedule: On-site, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Client: Established Distributor with 50+ Years in Business

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply customer payments and manage accounts receivable in NetSuite

• Enter and match vendor bills; process A/P payments and customer refunds

• Reconcile daily store cash drawers with NetSuite inflows

• Perform weekly bank and credit card reconciliations

• Assist with journal entries, accruals, and month-end close activities

• Maintain vendor and customer records, including ACH details, W-9s, and certificates

• Support the CEO, COO, and external Controller with financial reporting and ad hoc tasks

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience

• Solid understanding of GAAP

• Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems preferred

• Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs, PivotTables, and formula creation

• High attention to detail and ability to work independently in a routine-driven environment
