We are currently searching for a Quality Technician near Brookfield, WI. In this role, you will interpret engineering documents, conduct inspections at various stages of production, and manage the MRB hold area. You will be responsible for maintaining compliance with quality standards, including ISO 9001:2015, and taking corrective actions when deviations occur.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, control plans, and instructions to ensure alignment with management, engineering, and operations for maintaining product quality.
Conduct shop floor walkarounds to test products at various production stages, including receiving, in-process, and final inspections when necessary.
Manage the MRB (Material Review Board) hold area and provide weekly status updates through email or stand-up meetings.
Ensure compliance with quality standards, with a foundational understanding of ISO 9001:2015.
Identify deviations from established standards and take appropriate corrective actions, demonstrating a proactive, problem-solving approach.
Complete all required documentation, including inspection reports, return reports, and other related paperwork.
Adhere to company policies and procedures relevant to the position.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in line with 5S principles and housekeeping procedures.
Follow all health, safety, security, quality, and environmental regulations as outlined in IATF 16949/ISO 9001:2015.
Qualifications:
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.
- Ability to use measuring instruments, (micrometers, calipers, pin gages) test sets, and gauging equipment.
- Ability to read customer drawings and specifications. Basic knowledge of GD&T.
- Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions.
- Ability to perform basic math functions of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as dimensions, tolerance, etc.
- Ability to operate Windows and/or Apple based computers and working knowledge of typical office programs – i.e. Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Pay: $50,000 - $60,000
Pay Details: $50,000.00 to $60,000.00 per year
