Job Title: Corporate Controller –
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic, high-performing Corporate Controller with 10–15 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial leadership, and operational finance. This role is responsible for overseeing the full scope of corporate accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced settings, leads by example, and brings a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset to managing teams and driving results.
This is a hands-on leadership role, directly responsible for month-end close, cost analysis, inventory controls, and financial reporting across multiple manufacturing facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Leadership & Reporting
Lead and manage the monthly and annual close process, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant consolidated financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
Oversee general ledger, intercompany eliminations, and consolidation across multiple manufacturing sites.
Manage accounts receivable/payable and treasury operations, ensuring proper internal controls and cash flow management.
Coordinate with auditors and ensure GAAP compliance, internal controls, and SOX-related documentation (if applicable).
Manufacturing & Cost Accounting
Lead cost accounting activities, including standard costing, absorption analysis, and variance analysis (labor, overhead, materials).
Manage inventory valuation, physical inventory audits, and reconciliation processes across facilities.
Partner with supply chain and production teams to improve operational cost control, inventory accuracy, scrap reduction, and throughput.
Analyze SKU- and plant-level profitability, margin performance, and support strategic decisions tied to pricing, capital investment, and production efficiency.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Define clear roles, KPIs, and performance metrics for finance staff; provide coaching, training, and succession planning.
Promote cross-functional collaboration and build trust across departments.
ERP & Systems Integration
Ensure full integration between ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics preferred) and manufacturing data streams (inventory, purchasing, production).
Support ERP improvements, automation initiatives, and implementation of manufacturing finance modules or related tools.
Strategic Business Partnership
Serve as a financial business partner to plant managers, operations, and supply chain leaders.
Participate in S&OP planning, CAPEX evaluations, and other cross-functional initiatives that require strong financial input.
Conduct root cause analysis and provide decision support for operational issues such as downtime, bottlenecks, and yield optimization.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred
CPA a plus
10–15 years of progressive finance/accounting experience, including at least 2 years in manufacturing, distribution, or product-based industries
