Responsibilities
- Verify and process a high volume of vendor invoices for accuracy, appropriate documentation, and compliance with company policies.
- Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors through checks, wire transfers, or electronic payment systems.
- Address discrepancies in invoices by liaising with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of all accounts payable transactions for audit purposes.
- Reconcile accounts payable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing processes by preparing and reviewing accounts payable reports.
- Research and resolve discrepancies between vendor statements and company records.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets.
- Monitor and manage tax compliance related to vendor payments, such as withholding taxes and value-added taxes (VAT).
- Prepare and maintain documentation required for audits, ensuring accuracy and availability.
- Identify areas for improvement in the accounts payable process and recommend solutions for greater efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- At least two years of experience in accounts payable or a related role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Knowledge of financial regulations, tax compliance, and internal controls.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
Employment Details
- Direct hire
- Salary between $65,000 to $70,000
- M/D/V coverage offered
- IRA with contribution
- 80 hours of PTO
- Bonus eligible
- Fully onsite, Monday-Friday
