Job Title: Staff Accountant
Location: Onsite – Tacoma, WA
Contract Length: 8 Months
Pay Rate: $30–$35/hour (DOE)

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Staff Accountant for an onsite 8-month contract in Tacoma, WA. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys working hands-on with general ledger activities, reconciliations, and month-end close. You’ll be a key contributor in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting overall accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely

• Perform monthly account and bank reconciliations

• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes

• Maintain and update general ledger accounts

• Reconcile intercompany transactions

• Support audits and provide requested documentation

• Assist with variance analysis and financial reporting

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely accounting data

• Help improve processes and maintain compliance with internal controls

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment

• Strong understanding of GAAP

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, or similar) a plus

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

• Team player with a proactive and positive attitude

Additional Details:

• Full-time, onsite in Tacoma, WA

• Monday–Friday schedule

• Pay range: $30–$35/hour depending on experience
