Job Title: Payroll Specialist
Location: near Tallmadge
Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Duration: 6+ Months
Pay: $21-25/hr based on experience
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist for a temporary assignment. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for over 1,000 employees on a biweekly basis across multiple states. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with payroll tax, garnishments, and Kronos.
Key Responsibilities:
Process biweekly payroll for over 1,000 employees across multiple states.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
Handle garnishments and other payroll deductions accurately.
Utilize Kronos for timekeeping and payroll processing.
Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity.
Address payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
Qualifications:
3+ years proven experience as a Payroll Specialist
Knowledge of payroll tax regulations and garnishments.
Proficiency in Kronos and other payroll software.
Should have intermediate excel skills - vlookups, pivot tables, etc.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills.
