Job Title: Payroll Specialist

Location: near Tallmadge

Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time

Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Duration: 6+ Months

Pay: $21-25/hr based on experience

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist for a temporary assignment. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for over 1,000 employees on a biweekly basis across multiple states. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with payroll tax, garnishments, and Kronos.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process biweekly payroll for over 1,000 employees across multiple states.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.

  • Handle garnishments and other payroll deductions accurately.

  • Utilize Kronos for timekeeping and payroll processing.

  • Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity.

  • Address payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years proven experience as a Payroll Specialist

  • Knowledge of payroll tax regulations and garnishments.

  • Proficiency in Kronos and other payroll software.

  • Should have intermediate excel skills - vlookups, pivot tables, etc.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

  • Strong communication skills.
