Overview:

LHH is seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney to join our client's dynamic team. This position is remote, allowing the attorney to work from anywhere; however, the candidate must be barred in the state of Florida. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal representation to our clients.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.

  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to provide accurate and timely advice to clients and to develop effective litigation strategies.

  • Maintain regular communication with clients to keep them informed about the progress of their cases and to provide guidance and support throughout the litigation process.

  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials, while effectively advocating for their interests.

  • Engage in settlement negotiations with opposing counsel to achieve favorable outcomes for clients and to resolve disputes efficiently.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards, including staying current with changes in legislation and case law.

  • Work closely with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to coordinate case management and to ensure a cohesive approach to client representation.

  • Maintain accurate and organized case files, including electronic records, to facilitate efficient case management and to support ongoing legal work.


Qualifications:

  • Must be an active member in good standing with the Florida Bar.

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in civil litigation, with a proven track record of handling cases independently.

  • Strong analytical and research skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

  • Effective negotiation and advocacy skills

  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously

  • Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software


Details:

  • Employment Type: Contract

  • Compensation: up to $80/hr

Pay Details: $60.00 to $80.00 per hour
