Location: Tampa, FL
Job Type: Direct Hire or Temp-to-Hire
Salary Range: $52,000 – $80,000 annually
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support our law firm client in a dynamic and fast-paced commercial litigation practice. This position is ideal for a proactive professional with a strong background in complex commercial litigation who thrives in a collaborative environment and is comfortable managing multiple priorities.
This is not a role for candidates with experience limited to family law, criminal defense, or personal injury. We are looking for someone with 3+ years of recent experience supporting attorneys in U.S. law firms, specifically in commercial litigation.
- Manage complex attorney calendars and coordinate scheduling
- Draft, proofread, format legal correspondence and responses
- E-file legal documents in both Federal and State courts
- Maintain and organize digital case files
- Track attorney time and perform accurate data entry for billing
- Process expense reimbursements and maintain financial records
- Handle incoming communications with professionalism and discretion
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a U.S. law firm supporting commercial litigation attorneys (no family, criminal, workers’ comp, or personal injury)
- 1+ years of e-filing experience in both Federal and State courts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint (or similar case management system)
- Familiarity with legal billing systems
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
- Experience with intellectual property disputes, trade secrets, or non-compete litigation is a plus
- Flexible schedule
- Fully paid parking
