We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Litigation Legal Assistant or Paralegal with a strong background in commercial litigation and trial preparation. This role supports attorneys through all phases of litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial activities. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in managing complex case files in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities
Draft and file pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and discovery documents
Manage case files and maintain accurate records of legal documents and correspondence
Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial logistics
Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and witness materials
Conduct legal research and summarize findings
Assist attorneys during trial, including in-court support
Maintain attorney calendars and track litigation deadlines
Communicate with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel
Support billing processes and track billable hours
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in commercial litigation
Demonstrated trial preparation and courtroom support experience
Proficiency with legal software (e.g., ProLaw, 3E Billing, e-filing systems)
Strong drafting, proofreading, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage a high volume of work
Paralegal certification preferred but not required
