The Paralegal maintains the corporate records, contract repositories, and litigation database and assists members of the legal department with legal research and compliance matters for the company.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Serves as internal and external point of contact for all subpoenas and coordinates response to same.
Collects documentation for internal investigations and litigation matters.
Prepares memoranda summarizing investigative findings.
Serves as administrator of the companys litigation database and invoicing system.
Maintains corporate records, serving as first point of contact for inquiries regarding corporate structure.
Creates and manages repository of vendor and client contracts; serves as first point of inquiry regarding contracts for other internal departments (submitted through Legal ticketing system).
Assists senior Legal leadership with distribution of non-contractual legal work amongst Legal team members.
Assists Legal leadership with distribution of incoming contract work amongst Legal team members.
Serves as point-of-contact for income due diligence related to acquisitions.
Assists with the creation of presentations, memoranda, and other legal documents.
Coordinates and schedules legal department meetings.
Works under the direction and supervision of senior Legal Department attorneys.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Paralegal Certificate or Associates degree.
3-5 years of experience as a law firm or in-house paralegal with experience in a variety of disciplines, e.g., contracts, litigation, ERISA.
Experience working directly with sensitive and confidential issues.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and applications.
Working knowledge of databases and related systems.
Excellent analytical, written, and verbal skills.
The ability to clearly and concisely present complex information to a diverse spectrum of individuals.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions.
Experience conducting investigations.
Experience performing legal research.
Pay Details: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour
