LHH is seeking an experienced Trusts & Estates Paralegal to join our client’s dynamic team in Tampa, FL . The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in trusts and estates law, including experience with Form 706 (U.S. Estate Tax Return) preparation and filing.
Key Responsibilities:
Draft and prepare estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
Assist with the preparation, filing, and review of Form 706 and other estate tax documents.
Manage probate filings and related documentation, including petitions, inventories, and accountings.
Provide support for trust administration, including asset transfers, accountings, and distributions.
Maintain client files, ensure compliance with applicable laws, and monitor deadlines for critical filings.
Communicate with clients, beneficiaries, and court personnel as needed.
Assist with research and preparation for court hearings and depositions.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Trusts & Estates Paralegal.
Proven experience with Form 706 and estate tax filings.
Strong understanding of probate and trust administration procedures.
Familiarity with state and federal tax laws relating to estates and trusts.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
A Paralegal Certificate or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office and legal case management software.
