Job Description: Accounting Clerk
Location: Tempe, AZ
Pay Rate: $20 - $25 per hour
Position Type: Contract to Hire
Overview: LHH is partnering with a client in Tempe, AZ, to find a diligent and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk. This position offers an excellent opportunity for career growth and development, transitioning from a contract to a permanent role based on performance.
Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, match purchase orders, and manage vendor payments. Track and reconcile accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances.
- Data Entry: Accurately enter financial data into accounting software, maintaining up-to-date records of all transactions.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Payroll Support: Assist in payroll processing by tracking employee hours, verifying payroll data, and updating employee records.
- Financial Reporting: Generate monthly financial reports, assist in the preparation of budgets, and provide support during audits.
- Customer and Vendor Communication: Maintain professional relationships with customers and vendors, resolving any billing or payment discrepancies promptly.
- General Accounting Support: Provide general support to the accounting team, including filing, document management, and other administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar platforms.
- Attributes: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with team members and external contacts.
Pay Details: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour
